JACKSON, Wyo. – Old Bill’s Fun Run is just two days away! Join the Community Foundation JH on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 8:30 a.m. on the Jackson Elementary School field for one of Jackson’s favorite community traditions. This is the last chance to register for the Timed Run. Timed runner registration closes at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11 and is available online or in person. Please note: Timed runners cannot register on race day. Only timed runners will receive a race bib.
Timed race winners will receive prize money to donate to their favorite participating Old Bill’s nonprofits. Awards will be given to first, second, and third-place finishers in the following divisions:
- Adaptive 5K
- Adaptive 10K
- Youth 5K (under age 14)
- Women’s 5K
- Men’s 5K
- Women’s 10K
- Men’s 10K
The Old Bill’s Fun Run start and finish line is located on Willow Street, just north of the intersection with Deloney Avenue. For everyone’s safety, only walkers, runners, strollers, and mobility devices are permitted on the course. Other wheeled transport, including bicycles and skateboards, is not allowed unless being used by a mobility guide.
Dogs that are comfortable in crowds are welcome. Please keep pets on a short leash and clean up after them. No other animals are permitted at the event.
Event schedule
7:00 a.m. — Registration and bib pickup
8 – 8:25 a.m. — Nonprofit booths open, group warm-up and color guard ceremony and National Anthem
8:30 a.m. — Old Bill’s Fun Run begins. Race categories will start in the following order: Timed Adaptive Racers, Timed Adult Racers, Timed Youth Racers, Fun Run/Walk participants
10:00 a.m. — Diaper Derby at the MC Stage
10:30 a.m. — Race winners announced at the MC Stage
12:00 p.m. — Event ends
Parking
Free parking is available at the Home Ranch Welcome Center lot at the intersection of Cache Street and Gill Avenue, approximately two blocks northwest of the event site (3-hour parking limit). Additional parking is available on nearby streets.
Because several streets will be closed for the event, we encourage participants to walk, ride a bike or take the START Bus whenever possible.
Accessible parking is available in the Jackson Elementary School parking lot. Please reserve this lot for attendees who require accessible parking.
