Recent arrests in Teton County Miston Cheyenne Buckrail - Jackson Hole, news

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Here are the arrests in Teton County/Jackson. Names may be withheld at the request of law enforcement. All persons cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filing from the Teton County Attorney’s Office.

 March 27, 9:54 am – Auto Burglary
A woman reported a pair of ski pants had been stolen from her unlocked vehicle.
JPD: “Jackson PD advises against leaving items of value visible or not in unsecured vehicles and encourages everyone to lock their cars to avoid crimes of opportunity.”

March 27, 2:43 pm – Warrant
While on a traffic stop for a cell phone violation, an officer discovered the driver had an outstanding municipal warrant for failing to appear in court for a registration violation. Antonia Ohara was subsequently arrested for the warrant and issued a citation for the cell phone violation.

March 27, 5:45 pm – Hit-and-Run
A vehicle hit a parked vehicle in the Albertson’s parking lot and then left the scene. Officers received a description of the offending vehicle, including a license plate number. Officers contacted the driver and issued him a citation for leaving the scene of an accident without providing his information.
JPD: “We understand accidents happen, but drivers need to take responsibility for their actions. The law requires drivers involved in any accident involving injury or property damage to stop and render aid or give contact information.”
