JACKSON, Wyo. — As summer heats up, so does construction season.

The aquatics center at the Teton County/Jackson Community Recreation Center is tentatively scheduled to close for six to eight weeks this summer for lap pool replastering, “pending final contract award and budget approval,” according to Teton County Jackson/Parks and Recreation.

“While exact dates are not yet finalized, construction could begin as early as July 1, 2026 (with early to mid-July being highly likely),” Parks and Rec said in an announcement.

The interior facility is expected to remain fully closed during the initial demolition phase for public safety purposes, with the potential to reopen other indoor pools and amenities in phases before the lap pool project is done. The splash pad is expected to remain open throughout the construction period.

“Because exact dates and project timelines are subject to change, the most up-to-date schedule adjustments will be posted directly to the Facility Hours & Closures page at tetoncountywy.gov/1350/Facility-Hours-Closures.”
