JACKSON, Wyo. — Excited for summertime yet?

The Jackson Hole Land Trust (JHLT) will host its annual R Park Solstice Celebration in Wilson on Thursday, June 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. Bring the whole family for an evening of live music, activities and refreshments.

Missy Jo and Joe Rudd will play tunes, and there will be free stand-up paddleboard and kayak demos in the pond. Attendees are encouraged to bring a reusable cup for cold beverages, including Highpoint Cider for those over 21.

New this year, there will be a $10 food offering featuring sliders from JACZ, ice cream and more. Children ages 12 and under can eat for free. JHLT states that all proceeds will support R Park and future community events.

“Open space is only as strong as the community that champions it,” JHLT Director of Community Conservation Zach Andres said in the event announcement. “The solstice celebration is our favorite day of the season — community partners, free educational activities, and everything that makes summer in Jackson Hole so special. We hope to see everyone out there.”

Nonprofits and organizations in attendance will run summer activities to engage with nature in unique ways. Check out booths by Teton County Search and Rescue, Wyoming Stargazing, Wyoming Game and Fish, JH Public Art, Teton Adaptive, Teton County Weed and Pest, and Teton County Pet Partners.

Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy a fun-filled summer evening with friends and neighbors to ring in the changing of the seasons. The summer solstice will take place on Sunday, June 21.
