GOBBLER’S KNOB, Pa. — Happy Groundhog Day!
Storied weatherman Punxsutawney Phil emerged from his ceremonial den on the morning of Sunday, Feb. 2, and saw his own shadow, forecasting six more weeks of winter (in the eyes of those who believe in his meteorological abilities).
Phil’s prediction challenges the results of Buckrail’s reader poll, which saw 51% of voters opt for the early spring prognosis.
Jacksonites might have to wait a bit longer for springy weather to arrive. A major storm arrived this weekend.
