GOBBLER’S KNOB, Pa. — Happy Groundhog Day!
Storied weatherman Punxsutawney Phil emerged just after dawn on the morning of Friday, Feb. 2, and did not see his own shadow, forecasting an early spring in the eyes of those who believe in his meteorological abilities.
Phil’s prediction aligns with Buckrail‘s reader poll, which saw 49% of voters opt for the early spring prognosis.
Jacksonites might have to wait a bit longer for springy weather to arrive. Snow is in the forecast for this weekend.
