ALPINE, Wyo. — Around 1:30 p.m. Monday, deputies from the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) were sent to the Palisades Reservoir near China Beach to investigate a canoe that was found partially swamped in the water.
According to a statement from the BCSO, deputies launched a boat and located the canoe but have not been able to locate who it belongs to. The canoe has green and brown paint on it, but no other identifying marks.
At this time, no one has been reported missing to the BCSO or neighboring agencies in Wyoming.
