JACKSON, Wyo. — It’s June 1 and the official start of Pride Month, a worldwide celebration of the LGBTQ+ community.
Locally, JH Pride has organized a number of events throughout the month to gather and celebrate LGBTQ+ pride.
“Pride in Jackson Hole is a necessity. We want our town, known for its iconic mountains and being the ‘Last of the Old West,’ to also be known as a welcoming place where everyone belongs,” says the JH Pride website.
June 1
Free concert by local folk musician Stonewall Riot at JH BookTrader, 7 p.m.
Stonewall Riot, formed in 2010 in Jackson, is a one-man folk disturbance act that plays a raw and unflinching folk music soundtrack for the modern American rebellion.
June 3
Queer Kickball Kickoff Picnic, 5-8 p.m. at Powderhorn Park. All ages are welcome.
June 2-4
Your Girl Catherine a Cabaret Comedy at Mangy Moose, 8 p.m. Tickets are available here.
Jackson’s least favorite second-homeowner “Your Girl Catherine” (comedian Andrew Munz) is hitting the Mangy Moose stage for three nights of local comedy featuring stand-up, skits and the occasional wine-soaked musical number. Seating is limited and will be on a first-come-first-served basis. Doors at 7:30pm / show at 8:00pm. Ages 21+.
June 5
Gender Diversity Picnic, 12-3 p.m. on the Art Association’s multipurpose studio and deck. The event is free and open to all ages.
June 6
Mayor Hailey Morton Levison will read the Pride Proclamation at the Town Council Meeting. Community members can attend the meeting in person at 6 p.m. or online.
June 8
Black Movie Series: Moonlight from 6-9 p.m. at the Teton County Library, Ordway Auditorium
June 10
Caravan of Glam, 7 p.m. Center for the Arts, ages 21+, tickets are available here.
Featuring entertainers from Oregon, Washington, Colorado, and more, including Jayla Rose from Lizzo’s “Watch Out For The Big Grrrls” on Amazon Prime! Drag, Burlesque, Acrobatics, Comedy, Dance, and everything in between, the Caravan of Glam has been referred to by America’s Got Talent as one of the Top 10 touring LGBTQ groups in North America.
June 11
“The Round Up,” 7 p.m. Center for the Arts, ages 13+, tickets are available here.
“The Round-Up” is a variety showcase featuring an LGBTQ+ collective of local performers, comedians, artists and activists. This performance showcase will feature lip sync performances by up-and-coming drag superstars, documentary shorts by filmmakers Jack Hessler and Stephen Shelesky, dance performances and a bevy of surprises along the way.
The Hoedown: A Pride Celebration presented by Something Else & JH Pride, 9 p.m. Pink Garter Theatre, ages 21+, tickets are available here
The annual Pride dance party is back for its fourth year with music by Something Else Residents. Your Girl Catherine is the emcee.
June 16
Gay book club reading On a Sunbeam by Tillie Walden, 7 p.m. Online via Zoom.

Queer Kickball game at Powderhorn Park. All ages are welcome to participate.

Victor Pride at Highpoint Cider.
June 22
Solstice Soak, 6:15-8 p.m. at Astoria Hot Springs. The event is free and open to all ages.

Pride Climbing Day at Exum Mountain Guides, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
The event will be held at the Exum Office by South Jenny Lake. Ages 14+, no experience necessary, all ability levels welcome. Technical climbing equipment and shoes provided. Call Exum at 307-733-2297 to register for free. Space is limited
Free STD testing event, 11 a.m-3 p.m at the Teton County Health Department.
