Rocky Mountain Power will shut down the grid Monday night to perform necessary work. The outage will affect approximately 5,600 customers.

SUBLETTE COUNTY, WYO – Rocky Mountain Power announced a largescale power outage is planned for portions of Sublette County next Monday night.

Rocky Mountain Power says the service disruption is necessary in order to improve reliability of the electrical system. They will shut off power on Monday, Sept. 10 starting at 11pm and lasting through to 4am the following morning.

The outage will affect approximately 5,600 customers in the following communities: Marbleton, Big Piney, Daniel, Cora, Pinedale, and Boulder.

This outage is necessary to repair equipment in a substation and a transmission line to improve service reliability. Rocky Mountain Power crews will take all steps possible to minimize the length of the interruption, but some of the work can only be safely performed with the service de-energized.
