JACKSON, Wyo. — Following the national election, immigrants and their loved ones might be feeling uncertain about what the next four years will hold.

The Wyoming Immigrant Advocacy Project is hosting a post-election community immigration forum to discuss immigration policy changes possible under the incoming administration. The free event will cover:

  • what immigrants can do to be prepared for policy changes
  • employer resources
  • information regarding immigrant rights during an encounter with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
  • options for emergency assistance available during sudden income loss
  • coping strategies for post-election anxiety
  • how to be an ally to the immigrant community

The event will be held on Monday, Nov. 25, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Hansen Hall in St. John’s Episcopal Church. The presentation will be conducted in English with Spanish interpretation. For those unable to attend in person, the event will be live-streamed via Zoom at this link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/87652253754.
