Comments: A man was observed talking on the cell phone while driving and was stopped for this violation. After initiating a traffic stop, the Officer noted that the man appeared impaired. A DUI investigation was conducted and the man was arrested for DUI. A small amount of controlled substances was also located in the vehicle.

Comments: A complainant called and stated someone had backed a vehicle into his back gate to his back yard.

•OBSTRUCT JUSTICE – PROBATION VIOLATIONS
Comments: While on foot patrol Officer Proctor was walking through the wooded area at 690 W Snow King Ave. While walking through the area Officer Proctor smelled in what his training and experience as a peace officer as marijuana. Officer Proctor contacted two individuals later identified as Corey Taylor and Michael Craig.
Officer Proctor asked Taylor and Craig where the marijuana was. Taylor said he had it. While searching Taylor’s person 17 grams of marijuana were found in his left pocket. Taylor said the marijuana was his. The marijuana field tested presumptive positive for marijuana. It was also discovered that Taylor was on probation for possession of marijuana as well. Taylor was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance-marijuana.
While searching the area I found a small bottle that contained 1/2 gram of marijuana. I asked Craig who it belonged to and he said it was his.

Comments: Officers responded to a welfare check and located subject who had attempted to overdose. Subject transported to St. John’s medical center for title 25.
