JACKSON, Wyo. — The Jackson Police Department (JPD) will auction bicycles for anyone in the community on Saturday, Aug. 20, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Town of Jackson Shop located at 450 West Snow King Avenue.

All of the bikes in the auction are found and unclaimed bicycles from Teton County. Bicycles in the auction date back to 2019 when the last JPD silent auction took place. The JPD bike auction chief, Roy Mann, has gone through all the bikes and researched the appropriate market value for which the bikes will be sold in the silent auction.

The auction will feature roughly 40 bikes, ranging from $40 to $1,800 with a total estimated value of just under $13,000. As with any “fundraising” from the JPD, the proceeds will go back to the Town of Jackson’s general fund.
