Pinedale Announces 11th Annual Soundcheck Lineup Musician Long hair Buckrail - Jackson Hole, news

PINEDALE, WYO – We’re going to let you in on one of the best-kept secrets for free, regional music consumption—Pinedale Fine Arts Council’s outdoor Soundcheck Summer Concert Series. National touring acts ranging from indie to folk, Americana and honkytonk will perform in the beautiful, kid-friendly American Legion Park on June 30, July 4, July 20-21, August 3, and August 11 in Pinedale. Shows start at 5 p.m. with headliners usually hitting the stage at 7 p.m.

The series kicks-off June 30 with in/Planes, a vintage pop duo from Pueblo, Colorado. Creating a vibe, entrancing sound with a singular take on American roots music, the unmistakable influence of late 50’s and 60’s R&B, doo-wop and soul is warm and charming. Once you factor in tight harmonies and a throwback to the sounds of Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and Otis Redding, this is a great escape from the modern world. Opening the show is Pinedale’s own alt-country duo The Boom & the Bust.

The remainder of the lineup includes two Nashville Americana duos—Sally & George with Freddy and Francine (July 4), “cowboy from the crypt” Timmy the Teeth with Whippoorwill and Jason Tyler Burton (July 20), indie rockers Jared & the Mill with The 502s and Aaron Davis & the Mystery Machine (July 21), indie-folk band Dead Horses with jazz-folk artist Samantha Rise Band (August 3), and Sarah Jane Scouten with Western swing trio Big Cedar Fever (August 11). The July 20-21 concerts are in conjunction with the three-day Wind River Mountain Festival, which includes an adventure race and other events.

The Soundcheck Summer Music Series is made possible by support from The Town of Pinedale, The Pinedale Travel & Tourism Commission, The Sublette County Recreation Board, The Wyoming Arts Council, IMTour and the Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund.
