ALTA, WY — Mountain bikers from across the country put their endurance to the ultimate test at Grand Targhee this weekend for the Pierre’s Hole 50/100Mountain Bike Race.

Pierre’s Hole carries riders through rugged, breathtaking singletrack. Racers competed in the 100-miler, 100 km, or 50 km race over one, two, or thee 31-mile loops.

Local endurance athlete Cary Smith came in first in the 100-mile Master for men 50+, representing The Hub and finishing in 8 hours and 48 minutes. Smith has competed in the race every year since its inception.

Becca Parkinson came in third in the 50k Women’s Open riding for Fitzgerald Bicycles. Robin McGee took home the gold in the 50k Master 50+ women, riding for Hoback Sports and finishing in 3 hours 22 minutes.

Caedran Harvey finished first in the 100k Women’s Open repping Fitzgerald Bicycles.
