JACKSON, Wyo. — The 2024 Pica’s Margarita Cup is back for another year, with festivities beginning in just one week.
The “Marg Cup” is a fun and social locals’ race league with a competitive spirit. Skiers and snowboarders of all abilities are welcome to race for the Cup. The scoring has been designed to give even novice racers the ability to earn a high score and help their team win. Racers enjoy:
- Professional racecourses
- Huge weekly raffles
- Live announcerÂ
- Awesome championship prize packages
- And just the right amount of friendly trash-talking
Teams (four to six people) can register as self-sponsored or as business-sponsored. Racers can run the course between 3 and 6 p.m. each race day. All business-sponsored teams will compete for series championship title and prizes as well as the business championship title. We call it the “league within the league.” This is a great way for local businesses to compete against one another and promote their business while supporting the athletes of the Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club: 100% of the entry fees support the Club.
Season Schedule:
- Race #1: Monday, January 22 – GS
- Race #2: Monday, February 5 – Dual GS
- Race #3: Monday, February 12 – Super G
- Race #4: Monday, February 26 – Dual GS
Be sure to have all teammates’ names and contact information before beginning the registration process.
The Fun Stuff:
- Pica’s Taqueria will be there serving up their famous margaritas and tacos at the last race
- Costumes are encouraged, and will be rewarded throughout the series
- Every registered racer is entered into a weekly raffle for awesome prizes
- Top three overall teams and top three business teams will receive awards (and bragging rights) at the end of the season
