A message from History Jackson Hole

JACKSON, Wyo. — If you looked down East Broadway Avenue in 1920, you would have seen a dirt road leading to Crystal Butte, scattered housing, and a valley just beginning to define itself.  A thriving Jackson Hole community was solidfying, while dude ranches welcomed visiting dudes and dudines from across the nation.

The Jackson Hole History Museum invites you to step back in time for the First Annual Eras Party:1920s on Thursday, June 18 from 6 to 9 p.m.

The History Museum will embody the decade with period displays of local artifacts, live jazz from vocalist Lulla Blue and her ensemble, and readings that anchor the evening in Jackson Hole’s own words.

Poet and writer Matt Daly will channel Olaus Murie’s observations from Wapiti Wilderness; Klaus Baer will interpret a passage from Struthers Burt’s Diary of Dude Wrangler; and Natalia Macker will give voice to Felicia Gizycka’s Vogue magazine account of Jackson Hole.

Raise a custom Wyoming Whiskey cocktail, sample hors d’oeuvres by Provisions, and if you like, lean into the look – 1920s attire encouraged or come as you are. Let’s party like it’s the 1920s in Jackson Hole!

To purchase tickets, visit historyjacksonhole.ticketspice.com/erasparty or call us at (307) -733-2414.
