CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Military veterans will be treated to waived day-use and entrance fees across Wyoming State Parks and Historic Parks on June 14, the Wyoming Division of State Parks, Historic Sites and Trails announced Monday.

Day-use fees will be waived on Flag Day for those able to prove their past service in the military, naval or air services. Other charges, such as overnight camping fees, will still apply. Active-duty military personnel are not eligible.

The “Parks for Patriots” program has historically welcomed veterans free of charge on Veteran’s Day. This week’s benefit coincides with the last day of school for Teton County School District.

Disabled veterans qualify for free camping and day use for life with the State Parks Lifetime Veteran’s Permit. Veterans must be Wyoming residents and must possess a 50% or more service-connected disability to apply, according to the parks division.
