JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County/Jackson Parks & Recreation announced seasonal changes to its properties in preparation for colder months ahead.

Staff will begin winterizing restroom infrastructure throughout Teton County. Restrooms at Town and County parks will be closed beginning Tuesday, Oct. 1, except for the following: Miller Park and Emily’s Pond (open year-round); Stilson (closing on Oct. 15, and reopening in November); and the Wilson and South Park boat ramps (closing on Oct. 31).

Additionally, the Owen Bircher riding arena closes to the public on Monday, Sept. 30.

Staff anticipate being able to open the seasonal dog park at the Teton County Fairgrounds during the first week of November.

Parks and Recreation will begin cleaning out Teton County park irrigation systems. There will also be increased agronomic (fertilization and pest control) practices to help ensure turf health.

The public is encouraged to visit the Parks and Recreation website for the most up to date information regarding seasonal closures and openings.
