JACKSON, Wyo. — On Saturday, Sept. 7 at 9 a.m., the 28th annual Old Bill’s Fun Run will take place at the Jackson Elementary School field on Willow Street.
Old Bill’s has raised over $256 million dollars for local nonprofits since its inception in 1997 and made philanthropy a household word in Jackson.
Old Bill’s is a 5K and 10K run/walk, as well as a highly competitive Diaper Derby. Winners of each race will receive prize money to donate to their favorite nonprofits. Before and after the Fun Run, the community is invited to experience the Nonprofit Village featuring interactive, family-friendly activities hosted by 100 plus nonprofits.
It’s free to participate in Old Bill’s thanks to the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Old Bill, CoChallengers and Friends of the Match.
Registration for the timed 5K, 10K and Youth 5K ends on Friday, Sept. 6 at 5pm. Timed divisions are: Women’s 5K, Men’s 5K, Girls’ 5K (>14 years old), Boys’ 5K (>14 years old), Women’s 10K and Men’s 10K. Go here to register.
The top timed runners will win money to donate to their favorite Old Bill’s participating nonprofits. Advance registration is encouraged, however, participants can register to walk or run in the untimed Fun Run on Run Day from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the big tent at Jackson Elementary School field. Bib Pickup: Timed runners can pick up their bibs at the Community Foundation (245 East Simpson Avenue) between Sept. 5 through Sept. 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Bibs will also be available to pick up on Run Day from 8 to 9 a.m. at the big tent in the center of the Jackson Elementary School fields.

Only walkers, runners, strollers and wheelchairs are permitted on the course. For safety, other wheeled transport (bicycles, skateboards, etc) is prohibited. Old Bill’s welcomes dogs that are experienced and comfortable in crowds. Please keep them on a short leash and pick up after them. No other animals are allowed.
Event schedule
- 8 a.m. — Fun Run registration and Timed Run bib pick-up
- 8:30 a.m. — Nonprofit booths open
- 8:45 a.m. — Runner/walker warm-up at start line
- 8:50 a.m. — Color Guard Ceremony and National Anthem
- 9 a.m. — Start gun! Run/walk begins
- 9:15 a.m. — Snacks served under big tent in center of field
- 10:15 a.m. — Race winners announced from stage at start/finish line
- 10:30 a.m. — Diaper Derby (no registration required)
- 12 p.m. — Event ends
Parking
Free parking is available at the Home Ranch Welcome Center, located at the intersection of Cache Street and Gill Avenue, two blocks northwest of the event. Bike parking will be available at the north side of the field near the main entrance to Jackson Elementary School.
