Old Bill’s 5K and 10K Fun Run/Walk will be held on
Saturday, September 7 at Jackson Elementary School Field

JACKSON, Wyo. — The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole has announced that the 28th annual community-wide fundraiser, Old Bill’s Fun Run, will be held on September 7 at Jackson Elementary School Field. In 2023, the event raised $28 million for Teton County nonprofits. During last year’s event, more than 24,000 individual gifts were made by over 4,000 donors. Since 1997, Old Bill’s has raised an astounding $256 million dollars for local nonprofits.

“Old Bill’s is a community-wide celebration of our remarkable nonprofits and Jackson’s culture of philanthropy,” remarked Laurie Andrews, Community Foundation President.

Launch Party

The Old Bill’s 2024 Giving Season kicks off on Friday, Aug. 9 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. with a Launch Party and Rubber Ducky Regatta at Russ Garaman Park. During the fifth-annual Rubber Ducky Regatta, the Foundation will send 200+ rubber ducks representing the Old Bill’s nonprofits racing down Flat Creek with the support of Teton County Search & Rescue’s Swiftwater Rescue team. The luckiest ducks are awarded grant prizes for their nonprofits. New this year: a limited number of Rubber Ducky Regatta youth hats by Midnight Lunch’s Trucker Bar will be given away on a first-come, first serve basis. This family-friendly event is free and open to the entire community. Costumes and nonprofit spirit are highly encouraged.

Run Day

On Saturday, Sept. 7 at 9 a.m., Run Day will take place in the playing fields at Jackson Elementary School (JES) between Jean Street and Willow Street. It’s free to participate, and runner registration opens on July 31 at oldbills.org. Street parking is limited downtown, so bikes and public transportation are highly encouraged. The 5K and 10K Fun Run/Walk will start at 9 a.m. sharp. The start line is located on Willow Street, just north of Deloney Street. About Old Bill’s Fun Run

One of the most innovative philanthropic initiatives in the nation, Old Bill’s Fun Run is also one of the most successful. Twenty-seven years ago, a generous couple, fondly known as Mr. and Mrs. Old Bill, envisioned a collaborative initiative to support local nonprofits. For the first time, organizations came together in an efficient, unified fundraiser that raised awareness of local nonprofits and community needs.

Since its inception, Old Bill’s has brought an astounding $256 million philanthropic dollars to the community. These funds are busy feeding the hungry, supporting the sick and elderly, teaching kids to read, protecting wildlife, building affordable housing, enriching lives through the arts and touching the lives of everyone in Teton County. Old Bill’s is administered by the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole. For more information, visit oldbills.org.
