New officer joins Jackson Police Department

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Amanda White is the newest Jackson police officer sworn into duty yesterday by Judge Melissa Owens.

White has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Milligan College in Johnson City, Tennessee. Perhaps you have seen her at the Jackson Hole Airport where over the past several years she has been working for Jackson Hole Aviation and at SkyWest Airlines since 2012.

The Jackson Police Department is happy to have her join the team. White departs later this week to the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy in Douglas, Wyoming. The Peace Officer Basic Course will last until November 21, 2019.

Everyone at JPD and the town wishes White all the best at the Academy, and look forward to her return to serve and protect local citizens.
