JACKSON, Wyo. — Firefighters were able to gain the upper hand on the Neiber Fire over the weekend as the blaze has been halted at 17,545 acres and 95% contained.

IC David Wilkins delivered on his promise to get the fast-moving grass fire shut down last weekend. His Type 3 Interagency Incident Management Team 2 will continue to hold and improve the line in the rough terrain of the Mud Creek drainage.
A total of 79 personnel is still assigned to the blaze. Though the weather has not been cooperating, Wilkins says he’ll have full containment by tomorrow and his team will begin dispersing to their next assignment and local resources will assume mop-up operations Tuesday.
