JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Habitat for Humanity has will be getting underway soon with Phase III of The Grove. The development will put 24 homes on the ground—each with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
Habitat will be accepting applications for eight units at The Grove, beginning next month. Through Habitat’s program involving sweat equity, homeowners pay no interest on their mortgages. Applicants are eligible if…
- Their current housing is overcrowded, inadequate, temporary or too expensive.
- As individual or family, they fall within Habitat’s income limits (see table).
- They can demonstrate the ability to pay a mortgage.
- They are willing to invest a minimum of 500 hours of sweat equity in construction work and classes.
- They are US citizens or permanent residents.
- They work an average of 30 hours a week throughout the year within Teton County.
