JACKSON, Wyo. — To wrap up the year with some lighthearted fun, the National Park Service (NPS) took to Facebook to post a spoof of the Spotify Wrapped campaign, which ranks users of the music service’s top songs and artists of the year.

“You thought about petting a bison 145,689 times,” the NPS writes. “Admit it.”

Other highlights include adding an ‘s’ to ‘Park’ in National Park Service multiple times, walking through multiple spiderwebs and only saying sorry once and discovering true park ranger names.

“All Parkie McParkfaces, please report for duty,” the NPS writes.

The NPS also listed park visitors’ top 10 most-commented words or phrases:

  • Can I pet it?
  • Is that edible?
  • I’m gonna pet it.
  • If not friend, why friend shaped?
  • I love parks!
  • Pspspspsps
  • Fat Bear
  • Sploot
  • I want to be a ranger.
  • I’m gonna eat it.

The NPS is using its cheeky post as a reminder that all national parks offer a privilege and responsibility. Visitors are required to leave wild animals alone, meaning no feeding or petting and giving them plenty of space.

For those visiting Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks this winter, be aware the many of the roads are closed for the season.
