VICTOR, Idaho — The summer calendar is already filling up.
Music on Main will be back for its 20th summer season, with free Thursday night concerts in Victor City Park from June 19 through Aug. 14 (skipping the Fourth of July holiday week).
Set times have been moved up this year, with opening sets beginning at 5:45 p.m. in an effort to keep “pedestrian traffic in as much daylight as possible,” according to the Teton Valley Foundation’s announcement.
“Moving music up just a half-hour will improve safety measures for the amount of people crossing Main Street/Highway 33,” Music on Main Program Director Tibby Plasse said in the announcement. “We also have enough people living in Teton Valley not commuting that we can start music earlier, and hopefully inspire more people to head straight to the to the park for dinner.”
This summer’s festivities will feature an added focus on non-alcoholic beverage options. The events are free to attend, but the Teton Valley Foundation encourages a $5 donation at the door “to keep the concerts donation-based,” per the announcement.
