JACKSON HOLE, WYO – The Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) announced the hiring of Ty Hoath as its new vice president of human resources.
JHMR conducted a nationwide search to fill the role, which began at the beginning of the summer. Hoath actually started at JHMR earlier this week. With extensive human resources experience in the hospitality sector, Hoath is a passionate skier and mountain enthusiast.
Jerry Blann, president of JHMR stated, “Ty has built valuable experience through his time at Starwood Hotels and Resorts and other large hospitality organizations, and he brings strategic knowledge at a critical time for JHMR. We look forward to his leadership and new perspective.”
Hoath is supported by a seasoned HR team including Nicola James, who has served as the JHMR Human Resources Director for the last five years.
Earlier this summer Scott Horn stepped down as vice president of HR forJHMR. Horn, a long-time leader in the ski industry and dedicated JHMR employee for 23 years, retired in June 2017. He will continue to work for JHMR in an advisory role and special project basis. He plans to stay in the valley.
“Scott’s 23 years at JHMR have been hugely impactful to our business as he focused on transportation, employee advocacy and the employee housing development at Powderhorn. His contributions over the years have allowed JHMR to become one of the top employers in the ski industry and a community leader,” Blann said.
