MOOSE, Wy. — Grizzly bear activity along Moose-Wilson Road has closed the northern section from Moose to Death Canyon.

Park officials don’t know how long the road will be closed, but anticipate at least through the weekend. The park will monitor the situation and adjust as appropriate.

Public access to the Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve and Death Canyon area is available from the south through the Granite Entrance Station.

Bears are especially active during the fall as they prepare for hibernation. Park visitors are reminded to give them space.
