JACKSON HOLE, WYO –the Jackson Hole Moose were game for two contests with the Sun Valley Suns last weekend but just didn’t have enough either night as they lost both Friday and Saturday in close games.
Friday, L6-5, OT
Jackson Hole took a 1-goal lead into the first intermission Friday night, but it was the only time the Moose would find themselves ahead all weekend. Jackson gave up 3 goals in the second but did manage to scratch their way back into the game with two in the third to send it to an overtime shootout where DJ Robinson of the Suns beat Nick Krauss for the win.
The Moose spread the scoring around Friday, getting goals from Charlie Hagen, Kyle Krauss, AJ Sanders, Ben Pullar, and Kevin Sunde.
Saturday, L4-2
The Moose dug themselves an early hole Saturday, surrendering 3 goals in the first before they found their legs. Goals from AJ Sanders and Tom Hartnett got Jackson Hole back in it but the Suns slammed the door with a scoreless third to finish off the Moose 4-2.
The Suns have won 3 of 4 against the Moose and sit atop the BDHL standings. Sun Valley is off this weekend. The Moose will host the Colorado Nailers this Friday and Saturday night at the Snow King Sports and Event Center.
