JACKSON HOLE, WYO – The Jackson Hole Moose came up empty in two tries against New York this past weekend.
The hometown team dropped the opener 4-3 after spotting the St. Nicks a three-goal lead. The Moose climbed back into it on goals from forwards Kyle Krauss and Tom Hartnett. Kristian Ophus also added two points from the backend (1,1).

A little hometown officiating filled the New York penalty box for the last minute. Combined with their goalie pulled for the finals ticks of the clock, it made for an interesting push but the Moose could not find the tying goal.
New York was too much for Jackson on Saturday. After a 1-1 first period, the visitors came out flying in the second, erupting for 5 goals. New York nursed the lead to a 6-3 final. Alex Dewitz provided some offense for the Moose with a goal and an assist.
The Moose are now 10-6 on the season headed into another homestand next weekend against the Aspen Leafs.
