JACKSON, Wyo. — The Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) announced that around 9:30 a.m. on July 12 it was notified that two F-35s will be training around 11 a.m.
According to a JAC press release, the F-35s are from Hill Airforce Base and will be training close by without landing. JAC says this is the first advanced notification the airport has received about military training in the area this summer.
JAC also confirms they asked Hill Airforce Base to consider training at alternative locations since the airport is located inside Grand Teton National Park. JAC has been working to minimize noise disruption to the protected landscape with the Fly Quiet Program.
