JACKSON, Wyo. — Melchor Dylan Moore has announced his campaign for one of three open seats on the Teton County Board of County Commissioners after running in 2024.

The Republican candidate noted in his campaign announcement that he believes local governing bodies could benefit from diverse political viewpoints. His platform is focused on private property rights; responsible budgeting and fiscal accountability; and the preservation of agriculture, ranching, tourism, and small businesses.

“Teton County deserves a county government that listens to all residents, including those whose views are not currently reflected in local politics,” Moore said in his announcement. “Whether someone is a lifelong ranching family, a small business owner, a tourism worker, or a newcomer building a life here, they deserve a seat at the table.”

Moore added that he’s observed increasing political polarization, and hopes to steer local government away from partisan viewpoints.

“There was a time when people in Jackson could disagree politically and still work together as neighbors,” Moore said. “My campaign is about restoring respect, protecting local voices, and ensuring county government remains focused on practical solutions rather than ideological division.”

During the 2024 election cycle, it came to light that Moore had experienced a few brushes with the law.
