JACKSON, Wyo. — Hailey Morton Levinson is running for Mayor because as a working mom, businesswoman, and a leader who has served on our Town Council for the last eight years; she knows the challenges and decisions facing our local community and is devoted to ensuring everyone in Jackson has a bright future.
Growing up in the hospitality industry taught Hailey the ins and outs of running a small business, service to others, and the importance of fostering relationships. She continues to work at the Inn on the Creek and relishes meeting new people and telling them about the valley she loves.
Hailey has served as Vice-Mayor under two different Mayors, most recently since 2019. A Wyoming Business Council 40 under 40 recipient and graduate of Leadership Wyoming, she strives to hone her leadership skills. Hailey currently serves on the Board for the Wyoming Association of Municipalities and has worked for several years on fostering meaningful relationships across Wyoming.
These relationships are invaluable, and Hailey has been able to advocate for Jackson across the state and the legislature. Hailey has worked to foster relationships with state leaders to understand better the issues and challenges each municipality faces, including Jackson.
“What makes Jackson special is the people – our small business owners, working individuals and families, nonprofit leaders, educators, and those in the service industry who shape the character and fabric of our community,” says Hailey Morton Levinson. “As Mayor, I will be prioritizing small businesses, economic recovery, early childhood education, equality and diversity, and reducing our carbon footprint. Each of these elements is essential to supporting our working class and ensuring Jackson’s thriving and healthy future.”
Hailey Morton Levinson supports the General Penny ballot measure on November’s ballot stating, “Jackson is built on the importance of its place and its people. Wyoming has already made many painful cuts to our Health and Human Services. With a 1.5 billion dollars’ worth of cuts that will need to be made every two years, Jackson will have to support each other to ensure that we provide the services our community desires. I am ready to work to ensure that services and infrastructure are kept to standards Jackson needs to guarantee a quality of life for all residents.”
Due to COVID, Hailey is re-tooling the typical door-to-door campaigning and will host virtual door-to-door events every Tuesday in October.
