WASHINGTON, D.C. — Senator Cynthia Lummis was sworn into Congress on Jan.3, 2021, the first female in Wyoming’s history to hold a seat in Congress.

Lummis traveled to D.C for the swearing-in ceremony, where Vice President Mike Pence swore in new senators, two at a time in accordance with COVID-19 protocols. Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) and outgoing Sen. Mike Enzi (R-WY) stood behind her while she took her oath.

Rep. Liz Cheney also took her oath of office yesterday, Jan 3. She won back Wyoming’s lone seat in the House of Representatives.

Sen. Lummis along with a group of Republicans is calling on Congress to reject the Electoral College results and conduct an audit of the results, already certified by states nationwide. Lummis was elected to office in the 2020 election, the same election she is claiming to be a fraud. Claims of widespread voter fraud have been unfounded.
