Locals raise money to keep Snow King grooming going post closing weekend

JACKSON, WY– Despite Snow King closing down operations for the season this past weekend, its snowpack is still strong, and local recreationists want a way to enjoy the hill well into May. They may have found their answer.

Snow King, in partnership with Exum and Arc’teryx, have agreed that if the community can raise enough money for three grooming sessions (roughly $3,000), they’ll throw in an additional fourth grooming for free. Each grooming session costs around $1,000, and the fundraisers have almost reached the first $1,000.

In order to raise the rest of the money, Exum mountain guides will host a raffle party at Cowboy Coffee on Wednesday, April 3 from 6pm – 7pm. Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 and will include everything from Arc’teryx gear to sessions at Medicine Wheel Wellness. A complete list of raffle prizes to follow before the event. Tickets will be sold from 6:00pm-6:45pm and raffle will be drawn at 7pm.

Locals, come out and show your love for the King. Cheers to a few more weeks of skiing!
