JACKSON, Wyo. — Center for The Arts, in collaboration with Teton Music School and the Art Association of Jackson Hole, has announced the inaugural Teen Takeover, an evening of art, music and food created by local teens on Tuesday, Dec. 19 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The Teen Takeover gives young artists a venue to gather together to share their creativity, talent and skills, and celebrate the diversity that contributes to Jackson’s unique arts landscape, said The Center via press release.
Participants are invited to experience performances by Teton Music School Pop Choir and Teen Rock Bands, art created by Jackson Hole High School students and food made by Jackson Hole High School Culinary Arts. There will also be an interactive art station, where attendees will be invited to create yarn pom-poms to add to a collective fiber arts installation in the Center Theater Gallery led by the Art Association.
This event is free and open to all students enrolled in local middle school and high schools and their families and friends.
“We’re excited to provide space and support for local youth to express themselves,” Creative Initiatives Director at The Center Oona Doherty said via press release. “We hope that this event will continue to grow each year and include even more teen artists, including dancers, singers, actors, filmmakers and visual artists.”
