WYOMING — The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has announced that it has ceased production of Tribal specialty license plates, but that a limited number are still available for purchase.

The license plate will be discontinued after the last of them are sold, since WYDOT failed to sell 500 before the end of 2025. They are available on a first come, first serve basis and can be used through 2033.

Applicants do not need to be Tribal members to apply for the specialty plate, but they must submit an application along with a $100 fee. There are two options for the plates: Eastern Shoshone or Northern Arapaho.
