Lift is grounded, restaurant is closing after sale

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Managers of the popular bar/restaurant Lift at the base of Snow King, confirmed with Buckrail they are closing in a matter of weeks.

Sources close to the popular eatery say the closure is the result of “unforeseen circumstances” but another source told Buckrail the property has sold with the intent that it becomes a condominium project.

The property, including the adjacent half-acre parking lot, was most recently owned by Jerrold Lundquist.

The restaurant will remain open until October 26, acknowledging they may run out of many food items as the days go by.

Meanwhile a fire sale of inventory including kitchen equipment, furnishings, decor, antiques and more will begin after two walk-throughs scheduled for Thursday, October 18, and Friday October 19, from 10:00am-2:00pm.

Lift has been in operation for five years. It was formally known as 43 North, a similar brewpub that shuttered in 2013.
