Lift accessed sport climbing in Jackson, WY - Happy Hour Wall Buckrail - Jackson Hole, news
Mike Mock on Some Day Never Comes

JACKSON HOLE, WYO –Local guidebook author, Wesley Gooch, along with other local climbers, like Zac Seipel, deserve recognition for the hard work they have been putting in developing Happy Hour Wall.  They’ve spent the last two summers creating a new climbing spot for the entire community.

“Happy Hour Wall fills a niche in the local climbing scene,” said Gooch. “It has easy, safe moderates in a cooler spot. It’s important for Jackson to have a place where people can progress as climbers.”

The area is a quick hike along the cirque trail from either the top of the tram or the gondola, and the climbs currently range in difficulty from intermediate (5.8) to advanced (5.11d).

The free guide has been downloaded over 1000 times, claims Gooch. “It’s really rewarding to know that people are psyched on this and donating to fund more bolts and hardware.” Check out the Teton Boulder Project’s facebook page for fundraising and event info.

Gaz-ex construction is going on above the cirque trail, so access to the Crag is limited to the tram side through 7/18/2018
