JACKSON, Wyo. — Got a story to tell?
The Teton County Library is bringing its Cabin Fever Story Slam series back for another season, kicking off at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Virginian Lodge. The free storytelling competition meets monthly from November through March.
Storytellers who wish to compete will throw their names into a bucket upon arrival at the venue, and, if their names are chosen, they’re charged with telling true, personal, five-minute stories relating to the theme. “Worth it” is the theme for the November slam.
A panel of judges will award prizes to their top three storytellers at the end of the evening. Audience members with no story to tell can still participate by contributing themed mad libs that emcee Jeff Moran reads aloud between stories.
Earlier this year, the Story Slam series celebrated its 10th anniversary.
