JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County Library will offer teens a free Teton County Search and Rescue (TCSAR) hands-on backcountry preparedness class, “What’s in Your Pack?,” on Friday, June 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the library’s Ordway Auditorium.

Teens entering grades sixth through 12 who intend to spend time in the backcountry this summer are encouraged to attend this TCSAR presentation, which will explore outdoor safety for summer mountain users.

Topics will include bear awareness and bear spray practice, top pack essentials and medical kit necessities. The class will be led by TCSAR team members and first responders.

Registration is required, and all registered participants will receive free gear from TCSAR sponsors.

Registration for this event will close on Thursday, June 20 at 5 p.m.
