JACKSON, Wyo. — The library has added an extra date for the Swap Meet series, which is made up of community discussions led by local officials about hot topics and news items.

The Teton County Library (TCL) announced a change of date for one of the meetups, and an additional date as well. The remaining dates for the season are as follows:

  • Thursday, Oct. 30: State Representative Mike Yin and County Commissioner Natalia Macker will discuss “corporate boycotts.”
  • Rescheduled — Wednesday, Nov. 12: County Commission Chairman Mark Newcomb and Town Councilor Alyson Spery will discuss “immigration issues.”
  • Additional date — Thursday, Nov. 13: Town Councilor Jonathan Schechter discusses “five questions for the community.”

According to TCL, the Swap Meet series mixes elements of book clubs and policy discussions, spurred by articles chosen and read in advance. All events start at 7 p.m. in the fireplace area of the library’s main wing. Because the discussions take place after library hours, TCL asks participants to be prompt and arrive before the doors lock.
