JACKSON, Wyo. — A new concert series is debuting at the top of Snow King this summer.
The King Concert series will be held at the summit of Snow King on July 16. Duane Betts & His Friends will headline the show with special guests, Cody Dickinson, Luther Dickinson, Jackie Greene, Berry Duane Oakley, Johnny Stachela and Lamar Williams Jr.
“With a short ride up the new high-speed gondola, concert goers can enjoy a host of musical events atop Snow King while enjoying local food and beverages, and the very best views of Jackson Hole,” said Snow King General Manager, Ryan Stanley. “We hope this inaugural concert on the Summit Stage will be the first of many, and expect our King Concerts to only get better as we finish construction of our new Summit House, the Planetarium and Observatory, and conclude revegetation work on the mountain.”
The concept and curation of the musical talent for the event is a collaboration between part-time Jackson resident Duane Betts, son of famed Dickey Betts of The Allman Brothers Band, and talent buyer Shannon McCormick.
“We have worked hard to bring together a very special band with incredible talent,” said McCormick. “If there was a roof up there, we are pretty sure they would blow it off.”
Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, low-back chairs, sturdy shoes and mountain weather-appropriate clothing, No outside alcohol is permitted at the venue but concert goers are allowed to bring their own food. Food and beverages will be sold.
Tickets are $30 in advance and $60 on the day of the show. Venue gates will open at 2:30 p.m. and the music will begin at 4 p.m.
Tickets will be available online at noon MST on June 8.
