TETON VILLAGE, WY — Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) has welcomed Tyler LaMotte to its senior leadership team as Chief Brand Officer, effective immediately.

In an announcement to the press today, JHMR said LaMotte is stepping into a newly-created role and will lead the development and execution of brand marking activation and guest engagement across all communication platforms, channels, and programs.

“I am thrilled and honored to be joining such a passionate team at JHMR and the incredible mountain community that makes Jackson such a special place,” LaMotte said in a press release. “JHMR’s family ownership and its ability to truly live by its values has been an inspiration. I look forward to amplifying the uniqueness of the JHMR experience and brand for all of our guests.”

LaMotte was most recently the Chief Marketing Officer of Keen Footwear in Portland, Oregon. In that role, he led the development of a new brand platform based on Keen’s core values of corporate responsibility and sustainability and created a best-in-class global digital experience to connect Keen to their loyal consumer base. Tyler is a “passionate brand builder who brings extensive experience leading transformational product and marketing strategies,” JHMR’s press release said. His experience prior to Keen was with culturally influential and world-renowned brands including Apple, Patagonia, Adidas, and Salomon.

LaMotte started his career as a sponsored professional athlete. Throughout his various roles, the one thing that has been steadfast is his love of the mountains and his devotion to snowboarding. During his career, Tyler has garnered speaking engagements at Global Citizen, and his work has been acknowledged in National Geographic, Men’s Journal, Outside Magazine and Runners World. Previously, he was a Board Member of the Snowsports Industries of America and the Conservation Alliance.

“Tyler is a seasoned marketing executive with a strong track record of success at other high-profile brands,” said JHMR President Mary Kate Buckley.  “We look forward to tapping into his broad and invaluable knowledge to elevate our Jackson Hole Mountain Resort experience.”
