JACKSON, Wyo. — On Thursday, March 6, the Jackson Hole Wildlife Foundation (JHWF) is hosting an orientation and training session for community members to become a certified Nature Mapper and learn how to submit wildlife observations into JHWF’s app.
“Did you know your everyday adventures can now contribute to valuable wildlife data?” JHWF writes in a press release. “Whether you’re out for a hike, a walk or just enjoying the outdoors, we will show you how easy it is to enter observations that can help wildlife.”
The training will be held at the Teton County Library from 5 to 7 p.m. There is no minimum age, but participants will need to have access to a smartphone, computer, tablet or similar device to input data.
This training event is free of charge. Those interested must register beforehand to receive an email with information on how to create a mapping account. Email Jessie Walters at jessie@jhwildlife.org to sign up.
