JACKSON, Wyo. — PAWS and the friendly Jackson Hole poop fairies are encouraging community members to help clean up the trails in honor of Earth Day on Monday, April 22. One of the fairies has addressed the community in a formal letter.

Dear Earth Day Enthusiasts,

As I flutter through the forests and meadows, I can’t help but notice the splendor of nature surrounding me. Yet, amidst the beauty, there’s a not-so-pleasant surprise that often catches my eye – those forgotten piles left behind by our furry companions.

But fret not, for I come bearing a solution! Imagine me, your friendly neighborhood poop fairy, swooping in with a handful of mutt-mitts, ready to lend a helping hand (or wing) in cleaning up after our beloved pets. Yes, we’re all human (or fairy!), prone to distractions while frolicking with our furry friends. Sometimes a poop bag may slip our minds, lost in the enchantment of the great outdoors. But fear not, for kindness and consideration can go a long way in making a positive impact, one poop at a time!

PAWS, with its magical generosity, provides over 150,000 mutt-mitts annually. Mutt-mutt stations are sprinkled like fairy dust at most major trailheads. So, before embarking on the next adventure, let’s all embrace our inner poop fairies and play our part in preserving the beauty of our natural spaces. Let’s ensure that every trail remains as enchanting as the first time we discovered it.

Being courteous to each other and to our trails is like spreading the magic of gratitude for the space we recreate in. So, let’s keep our trails clean not just on Earth Day but every day, for the joy of all creatures, great and small.

With fairy dust and goodwill,

Your Poop Fairy
