JACKSON, Wyo. — Registration is now open for The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce’s Best of the West parade, previously known as the Old West Days parade.

The Chamber rebranded the Old West Days parade as the new “Best of the West” parade to increase community representation.

“In this expanded format, the new parade will celebrate everything that makes the Jackson Hole community special,” said the Chamber in a press release this afternoon. “Whether it is our history, heritage, culture or community, this new parade allows for everyone to have representation in Old West Days.”

By expanding the format and increasing representation, the new parade aims to honor many unique aspects that make Jackson different from other Western towns. Participants can choose to highlight Jackson’s world-class recreation through themes such as fly fishing, skiing and snowboarding, climbing and more. They may choose to honor the town’s culture by showcasing Western heritage, the vibrant Latino community or Jackson’s position as an innovator in sustainable community practices. Participants may also choose to highlight the regions natural environment, including wildlife and geology.

Jackson Hole clubs, organizations and businesses are encouraged to sign up and participate in the family-friendly event.

The parade will be held on Saturday, May 27, and the cost of entry is $25.
