JACKSON HOLE, WYO – More than 200 people gathered at the Pink Garter Theatre last Friday to cheer on our talented local community of dancers, singers, comedians, and musicians to raise funds to support Teton Literacy Center.

The 5th annual Jackson’s Got Talent featured 10 talented acts, 29 performers in all, that filled the stage with music, song, dance, rhythm, jokes and more. The entertaining event just completed its fifth edition of show-stopping success, raising in excess of $85,500 for programs at Teton Literacy Center.

The sold out event was hosted by Tony Horton, of P90X fame, was the host for the evening. He was joined on stage by judges Gavin Fine, Libby Wood, and Mark Fishman.

The talent acts raised funds through votes from friends and family both in the audience and from afar. The acts raised over $14,900, cumulatively. Other event support came through individual donations, sponsors, ticket and table sales, in-kind donations, and raffle sales.

Sponsors included: Hawkins, Kaminsky and Devries Accounting, Jorgensen Engineering, Katie Murphy State Farm Insurance, Kismet Gallery, the Pink Garter Theatre, Pinky G’s, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

Teton Literacy Center Director Laura Soltau commented, “The evening exceeded all our expectations. The talent was phenomenal, the audience enthusiastic, and the support unbelievable. Votes came in from near and far, and the donations are still flowing in! This incredible support illustrates that together, we can eliminate the achievement gap in our community.”

The evening ended with the announcement of the People’s Choice Award determined by most votes and the Judge’s Choice Award.

The Timeless Tappers won the People’s Choice Award with more than 6,000 votes. After much deliberation, Frances Reid took home the Judge’s Choice Award stealing the heart of all the judges.

All talent acts received a Fast Pass with America’s Got Talent to get to the front of the line in Season 14 auditions.
