JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Jackson Hole Children’s Museum will soon be on the move to a new temporary location after losing its lease with the Town of Jackson due to the property at King Street being redeveloped for housing.

Thanks to a generous lease extension by the town, the Children’s Museum will remain open in its current location at 174 N. King St. until April 26, allowing it to remain open through spring break.

“We are grateful for our partnership with Teton County School District,” said Jean Lewis, JHCM Executive Director. “The annex buildings will be an ideal transitional home as we continue our search for a long-term facility.”

The museum will close from April 27 through June 8. It will re-open at the new location at the Jackson Elementary School Annex buildings for Touch-A-Truck on Sunday, June 9. Touch-A-Truck 2019 will be located on Jean Street adjacent to the relocated museum.

Members will receive a two-month extension due to the closure.

If community members would like to help, the museum is looking for creative, strong and passionate volunteers (of all ages) to support the buildout and move into their new space. Email the museum with your interest or questions.
