JACKSON, Wyo. — As patches of grass begin to show around town, ice rinks have officially started to close.

All ice rinks in the Town of Jackson and Wilson will close for the season today, March 4. Teton County/Jackson Parks & Recreation staff worked diligently over the past week to keep rinks safe and functional as temperatures started to warm. They hoped to keep the rinks open through the weekend, but last night’s temperatures barely reached freezing and the forecast is predicting temperatures in the low 50s by Friday.

Staff is currently working to determine if the Alta ice rink can remain open. Parks & Rec will post an update online.
