How low can they go? LVE rates rock bottom Foreign Exchange Market United States Dollar Buckrail - Jackson Hole, news

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Lower Valley Energy once again has the lowest residential rate among all electric cooperatives in the country according to the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation (CFC). Each year, as part of CFC’s due diligence, it tracks and analyzes the entire cooperative industry, and produces a report listing key performance indicators for utilities.

This year’s report was published at the end of June. Lower Valley Energy ended up with the lowest residential rates of all 813 cooperatives CFC tracks for the year 2017.

“No stone remains unturned as we look for ways to save our members’ money and keep our rates as low as possible,” said LVE president and CEO Jim Webb.

Lower Valley Energy consistently rates at or near the top for low rates. That’s not by accident, according to the power co-op. Lower Valley Energy is rare in the cooperative industry by also providing natural gas. Shared overhead also helps keep rates down.

LVE also embraces technology, and strives for efficiency and productivity, which also helps maintain low rates.
